
Plansee system for micro cup analysis on a rotary indexing table
Plansee AG ordered a very complex machine vision system from IB/E OPTICS. The demanding task was to completely check Microcups with diameter and heigth smaller than 1mm out- and inside for scratches, flashes, dents ...The cups are completely measured within 1s.
Additionally, there is a SPC-based measurement on the cups geometry (heigth, diameter, concentricity, cylindricity). Very demanding was handling those very small pieces with that velocity.
This real technical complex task was done with 9 cameras and IB/E OPTICS even developped special lenses and illumination systems for grabbing perfect images.
IB/E OPTICS did the complete design of the machine as well as the SPS programming, all electronics and imaging software development as well as the user Interface code in C++.
